Hello! I’m a writer, copywriter, and editor, born and raised in New York City. Highlights from my career as a journalist include profiling the publisher of a magazine about female drummers, talking to Susan Orlean about why she loves gardening as a method of procrastination, and interviewing obsessive Harry Potter fans before the release of the sixth and final book.
For the past ten years, I’ve worked in full-time and freelance capacities for a variety of award-winning weekly and monthly publications. In that time, I’ve written and edited engaging, highly trafficked stories about music, literature, fashion, and pop-culture for the New Yorker, Billboard, Bon Appetit, the Boston Globe, Etsy, i-D, InStyle, New York, Rolling Stone, SPIN, Teen Vogue, the New York Times, Time Out New York, and The Village Voice, among other places.
An article I wrote for Time Out New York about The Morgan Library and Museum’s exhibit of J.D. Salinger’s letters was excerpted in David Shields and Shane Salerno’s best-selling biography, Salinger (Simon & Schuster, 2013).
In addition to writing and editing features for magazines, I’m also a senior digital copywriter. My copywriting work is as varied as my experience as a feature writer—I’ve collaborated with legacy fashion brands including Bloomingdale’s and John Hardy, contemporary labels like Aritzia, and B2B companies on the other side of the eCommerce world.
My heroes are Jane Austen, Carson McCullers, Lindsay Weir, Shirley Jackson, Lillian Ross, and the renegade crew of the spaceship Serenity.
I can type over 100 words per minute, and I would like to hear from you.
