Medium is an open platform where anyone can share their ideas and where 170 million readers come to find insightful and dynamic thinking. In 2020, I partnered with Medium to refresh their messaging prior to a brand relaunch. Working closely with Creative Director Kristen Cesiro, I wrote clear, compelling copy that promoted and outlined Medium’s latest evolution to an ad-free, subscription-based model. As we zeroed in on Medium’s new voice, I offered strategic insight and iterated on multiple phases of the project, from the brand’s new creator-facing landing page to its own origin story and more. I was able to bring my hybrid experience as a journalist, creative writer, and copywriter to the table, and help Medium communicate its mission to champion complex, vital storytelling that cuts through the noise.
